Credit Union s eligible for Canada – Ontario Job Grant

LEVEL FIVE TRAINING PROGRAMS QUALIFY FOR TRAINING SUBSIDIES UNDER THE CANADA – ONTARIO JOB GRANT PROGRAM

Level Five is pleased to announce that we are an approved third party training provider through the Federal and Provincial Governments Canada-Ontario Job Grant Program.  The program is offered in locations throughout Ontario. Credit Unions and Caisses Populaires can apply for funds to help train their employees. The government strongly believes that no one knows better than you what skills your team needs in order to be successful. Training increases your organizations performance levels, helps attract and retain the best employees and overall improves staff morale.

The Job Grant Program will fund, on average two-thirds of an employee’s eligible training costs, to a maximum of $10,000.  Eligible training costs can include tuition, fees, text books and materials.  The credit union is responsible for paying any remaining costs.

Employees who qualify must have a sponsor employer (the credit union), be a resident of Ontario, be a Canadian citizen permanent resident or protected person and are not already taking full-time education or training.

Credit unions should take advantage of this new program. Not only does it reduce training costs but it  increases the number of training programs/courses that can be offered to employees within the training budget.
