Candis J. Mirtl
Candis is the Director of The Learning Institute at Level Five. She is responsible for course development, delivery and promotion of practical approach schools, workshops and seminars for professionals in the credit union system.
Her extensive knowledge of credit unions, credit management and operational and policy issues, as well as her creative and personable approach, enables her to add a unique element of value to the consultation she provides to credit unions in the lending, customer service and operations.
Candis has almost 30 years experience in the credit union system. She joined Credit Union Central of Ontario in 1986 where she held the positions of Collection Manager, Manager, Loan Consulting, Director of Professional Credit Granting School and Inspector on behalf of the Deposit Insurance Corporation of Ontario (DICO). Other roles include Practice Leader, Credit Resource Services, Level Five and Lending Solutions Specialist with the CUMIS Group.
She has presented numerous workshops, delivered hundreds of credit union courses, and published articles for Central’s Spectrum, the Credit Union Professionals’ Association, CUPA Exchange and the CUMIS ‘In Step’ Journal.
Candis was instrumental in creating the CUPA Professional of the Year Award, ****, Alan Marentette Manager of the Year Award and the Bonnie Barron PCG School Student Award of Excellence.
Candis was the 2002 recipient of the Innovation Award for Mentorship sponsored by CUMIS.
